Andrew Massih is a visionary, a creative intellect focusing his talents through multiple lenses and mediums. Through his media agency, Chicago AMP, Andrew represents a passion for shaping stories and building worlds. Utilizing cutting edge techniques and technologies, Andrew Massih expertly executes projects within the media realm enthusiastically. Whether it be photo or video, his artful creations scintillate viewers. 

Andrew’s first taste of what his storytelling could do came in the 8th grade when he presented a home-made video to classmates. Their reactions created a fervor in his mind for how visual media can connect with an audience and elicit a response. In his words, “Having people’s eyes, and getting them to see, it felt like you could change the world.” Simply put, that’s Chicago AMP. The way Andrew looks at it, he’s dedicated his life to a pursuit that can impact people in powerful ways, and even change lives.

AMP, he’s also a founder of the legendary Cairo music venue. It began as a place where friends could gather to do the things they liked to do, a place where they could play their way, a spot to call their own. Over the span of fifteen years, Cairo grew from an open mic karaoke spot to a thriving EDM hub.  

Though Cairo’s doors have shuttered, many friendships were formed in that space that have collaborated to create Suburban Sound Syndicate. Andrew continues to support this collective with his ability to develop ideas and inspire others through his visual presentations. In a way, this faction is an extension and evolution of the community he began. Without Cairo, there would be no Suburban Sound Syndicate. Without Andrew, the Cairo many came to love would have never been.  

When you pursue something you’re passionate about, it can turn into something so much greater than originally intended. Truly, Andrew Massih is an intentional creator, an inspiration to many, a visual virtuoso intent on using his abilities to motivate a better community and healthier world for all.
