Jerry Snackman is the colorful owner and operator of Deep Frequency Corp. Seriously; dude has got style. Through his company, he’s carving out a space all his own within our electronic community by providing laser technology for events. Concerts, shows, cannabis related happenings and beyond. Friendly to the herb, he explores further horizons. With wavelengths of amplified light scanning overhead stimulating positive reactions, Jerry’s pursuing a passion he loves doing, and he’s only just begun.

We all have our origin story into the electronic sphere, and Jerry’s began in 2011. He reflects on listening to DJ Caffeine and rocking out to hardstyle as early as 2009. It was a brief dip in the pool of electronica. He’d fall in love with the electronic scene further on after hearing Skream and Example’s, ‘Shot Yourself in the Foot Again.’ In his words, “That just opened Pandora’s Box.”  That’s the way it goes; one track sets off an explosion in our minds.

 The idea for Deep Frequency Corp came about in December 2023. Jerrys got a vision that guides his daily decisions. Throw awesome events, however he can help. The impetus for Deep Frequency emanated during efforts hosting a show at the Lakehurst Event Center back in April 2023. In the aftermath, he had a realization. “I need to keep doing this.”

Jerry’s here to have fun. One of the most rewarding parts of his profession is he’s doing work that often doesn’t feel like work. Ah, the dream. Love what you do, and you won’t work a day in your life. Yea, there’s the setup and teardown portion which certainly requires care and consideration, attention to detail. He knows that placement is important, you can’t have your lasers hitting someone in the eye. That would suck pretty hard, I’ll tell you right there. That’s why Jerry took time to learn the ins and outs of what lasers are, how they work, how to utilize them correctly, and best practices for their placement and operation. Safety always, homies. His hard work looks hella cool, and that’s just groovy, baby.

Recently, Jerry’s been stepping behind the decks. He’s the Snackman, and he knows how to supply tasty beats. He’s always desired to DJ and his successes with Deep Frequency gave him more confidence to take another leap. Early on he made the decision that if he was going to do this, he was going to do it right and learn how to perform on industry standard equipment. He studied, bought decks, and started putting down exciting sets and delighting audiences rather quickly. How does he practice? A set of Pioneer XDJ 1000s and a DJ M900.

Deep Frequency Corp continues growing. The long-term vision is more than just lasers. Deep Frequency is adding trusses and lights to their arsenal of visual tech working towards being a company that can provide more than just visual elements under one brand. Whatever kind of tech is required, Jerry’s gonna have it. Whether you want him to set up and operate the equipment, or rent it for your own use, he’s got many parts and pieces needed to douse a room in colorful swaths of lasers, light, and sound.
